Encouraging dancers to express their emotions and stories through movement.

Frequently asked questions

Ballet is strict and upright. Modern Jazz is often rhythmic and tight. Contemporary is a melting pot: it is rawer, earthier and often uses unexpected movements and rhythms.

Wear clothes in which you can move easily and that are tight enough for the teacher to see your lines (e.g. leggings and a t-shirt). Cover your knees and shoulders if you do a lot of groundwork.
You take the Ccontemporary classes in socks or bare feet.

Usually you dance to bare feet or at socks. Sometimes special “foot thongs” (little feet that only protect the ball of your foot) are worn for better turning.

You can take a trial lesson and start a course at any time of the year. You don't have to wait for a new series of classes to start.

You certainly can. Contemporary classes are for ALL LEVELS. You do not need any experience to take the classes. You develop yourself at your own pace.

A Contemporary class lasts 75 minutes.

You can buy a single lesson. A course card is cheaper per lesson and also a good incentive to come to class regularly. If you miss a lesson, you may make it up at one of the other classes.

A trial lesson costs €12.50. You can sign up for a trial lesson in three ways:

  • on the website
  • by e-mail: infor@wladimirstudios.n
  • by phone: 020 6274245

The rates of our course cards can be found on the page  rates
