Hello, my name is Julia, I’m 23 and I’m Franco-italian. Based in Haarlem, I’m currently freelancing in the Netherlands, dancing and teaching.
I’m mostly trained in contemporary dance, but I have an urban background I really like to play with. By immersing myself in the dynamics and energies of urban dances I shape my own way of moving.
During the class we will focus on the awareness of the body, space and others. To do so I use a lot of improvisation, to me it’s an infinite exploration, a quest for possibilities through the spontaneity of the moment. We will work on musicality by playing with different rhythms and dynamics, flowing through music and sounds. We will train to build a strong core while finding groove and freedom in the movement.
The class ends with the learning of a dance phrase, seeking for different movement qualities where everyone can put their own personality and sensitivity in it.
You are welcome to join my class anytime, and most important to enjoy yourself 🙂
